Sebastians Big One - Marriot Irvine Spectrum

Planning a first birthday party is always special — but planning a luxury first birthday with close to 100 guests at the Marriott Irvine Spectrum called for a thoughtful balance of style, fun, and safety. At Posh PlayTown, we were honored to design and set up a custom soft play solution for Sebastian’s “Big One” surfer-themed celebration.
The Challenge: Entertaining Different Age Groups

At large family events, one of the biggest challenges is keeping toddlers (ages 0–5) safe and engaged while ensuring older siblings, cousins, and parents can relax and enjoy the festivities as well!

For Sebastian’s party, the guest list included 40 children ranging from infants to tweens. The family wanted a setup that would:

• Provide a safe, enclosed space for little ones to play.

• Match the muted boho surf theme of the event.

• Allow parents and older kids to enjoy food, music, and games without worrying about toddler safety.
  

Our Solution:
Custom Soft Play Zone

We created a soft play environment specifically designed for children ages 0–5. The gated play area featured:

• A 4x4 ball pit with white balls for safe climbing and exploring.

• Foam mats and climbing blocks to encourage movement and motor skills.

• A white rainbow climber and rocker for themed play.

Every detail was designed with safety first — from requiring socks only, to ensuring all surfaces were padded, flat, and clean.
